What is a Giclée?
Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") prints are the highest quality fine
art reproductions available. They utilize modern high resolution ink-jet
technology that provides extraordinary detail and color accuracy. Because
Giclée printing can be applied to true archival artists' materials
such as canvas, they have the look and feel of original art.
What is an embellished Giclée?
While Giclée prints do not require enhancement, some artists add
remarques, paint selected areas, or use mixed media to hand embellish
their Giclées. The enhancement provides a one-of-a-kind work by the
artist to the art purchaser for a fraction of the cost of an
original.
